Did some translating of my favourite Persian poem the other day. They say poetry is good for the soul. I say put music to it and my purple heart will smile…

We were two facing doors
Aware of each other’s cores

Days of greetings, whispers and laughter
Days of promises for the morning after

Life’s a mirror of paradise but alas
Shorter than June nights and winter days past

Today my heart’s bleeding and sore
I see only darkness at one door

The sun failed, the moon could not allure
Blame Odyssey once, blame it for all
